Who are you and what is your role at the brewery?
Ron Shea, my role is owner, Master Brewer. I come up with the recipes and then hand them off to my head brewer, Jesse. I handle all cleaning, sanitation, filtration and kegging.
What is the name of your brewery and how did it come about?
R.Shea Brewing... I didn't want to come up with another cutsie name. My dad had a Golf Shop using Shea and it seemed right to continue with that tradition.
What is your favorite beer that's been released at your brewery?
My favorite? Oktoberfest and Bock — though that's not the people favorites.
What is your favorite thing in your brewery?
My favorite thing is the bar and tables. Everybody worked on some aspect of building them and it is the showpiece (besides the brewery behind it). A lot of work and coats of varnish went into the bar. I love the rich texture of wood and thought it would be a great contrast to all of the stainless and the black marble floor.
What is your most recent milestone?
Going from roughly 18 bbls a month to about 25 to 30 bbls per month with the addition of our two most recent fermentors.
What is your next major goal for the brewery?
Install a 7 bbl fermentor and get our kitchen going...we'll be rock'n then.

Shark — They're agile, and can move in and out quick.
